Lesem Socks — meaning “through the woods” in Czech — are a delightful toe-up design inspired by forest paths and leafy textures. These socks feature an elegant mix of cables, lace leaves, and bobbles, paired with a gusset and heel flap for a comfortable, tailored fit. A simple rolled stockinette hem adds the perfect finishing touch. With the help of the Toe-Up Sock Calculator, you can easily customise the gusset and heel placement to your exact size. The Lesem Socks are engaging to knit yet approachable, making them a wonderful project for anyone who enjoys texture, nature-inspired detail, and thoughtful construction.

You need 1 ball of Mondim by Rosa Pomar (385 m (421 yds) / 100 g, 100% fine portuguese wool); or approx. 70–100 g of a similar sock yarn.

The sample is knitted with Mondim, in the colourway C580.
For one sock in size 2, normal instep, I used 36 g (140 m / 154 yds) of Mondim.
Please be aware that adjusting the length of the garment or the needle size you need to achieve the stated gauge will also affect the amount of yarn needed to finish the project.
