ABOUT THE CONSTRUCTION
The hat is knitted in the round and starts with a provisional cast on. First, the double-folded brim is knitted in stockinette and then in twisted rib. Then the live stitches and stitches from the provisional cast-on are knitted together. Next, you knit another stockinette section to create a third brim layer. Then you start knitting the meander cable pattern. After a few repeats you start decreasing to shape the crown of the hat and finish by pulling the yarn tail through the final few stitches.
