This pattern can be added to Ravelry.

Meander Socks are a key addition to my Meander collection. Inspired by the original Meander Vest, these socks bring back some of its signature elements — including a column of slipped stitches along the back and an extended twisted rib. The ribbing can be folded down for a touch of extra coziness, making them both functional and stylish.

In terms of construction, these are toe-up socks featuring a gusset, heel, and heel flap for a comfortable and secure fit. As with my other patterns, the Toe-up Socks Calculator is included to help you achieve the best fit possible, tailored to your measurements.

SIZES

1 (2, 3, 4)

FINISHED FOOT CIRC.

17.5 (19, 20.5, 22) cm / 7 (7.5, 8, 8.75)"

EASE

0–2.5 cm / 0–1” of negative ease

The socks shown are a size 2. (foot length of 24 cm / 9.5”, foot circ. of 22.5 cm / 8.75”)

YARN

You need 1 ball of Mondim by Rosa Pomar (385 m (421 yds) / 100 g, 100% fine portuguese wool); or  2 balls of Isager Sock Yarn (193 m (211 yds) / 50 g, 40% easy wash alpaca, 40% easy wash merino wool, 20% recycled nylon); or approx. 80–100 g of a similar sock yarn.

The rust sample is knitted with Isager Sock Yarn, in the colourway 33.
The grey sample is knitted with Mondim,  in the colourway 300.
For one sock in size 2, normal instep, I used 39 g (150 m / 164 yds) of Isager Sock Yarn and 36 g (140 m / 154 yds) of Mondim.
Please be aware that adjusting the length of the garment or the needle size you need to achieve the stated gauge will also affect the amount of yarn needed to finish the project.
