Vinograd Socks is a toe-up sock pattern featuring a gusset and heel, designed for an excellent, customizable fit using my sock calculator. The name is a play on vinohrad (Czech for vineyard) and виноград (vinograd), which means grapes in Russian — a small nod to my family roots.
The design combines elegant cablework with gentle colourwork inspired by the vineyards of Portugal. Flowing cables recall twisting grapevines, while the colourwork reflects rows of vines stretching across warm hillsides. Vinograd blends thoughtful construction with rich texture, resulting in socks that are both comfortable to wear and rewarding to knit.
